I am very happy to say I got my nursing degree from this college, They had a couple really good staff members in the Nursing program that were quite helpful throughout the year. That being said there are a few teachers in the program who I can't say great things about and nor could the rest of my class.. the passive aggressiveness and ignorance that we received by emails or in person was excessive! The miscommunication and uncoordination within the program was rough a lot of hurry up and wait and then changes. Several of my classmates actually had a discussion on wanting to speak to the dean in regards to certain staff members but with fear we would be released from the program we kept our mouths shut and pushed through it. I for one think we need nurses badly in America but I don't think nursing students should have to be treated the way our class was most of the time. Nursing school is tough as it is we don't need staff breaking us down mentally as well.. that comes on the Job
Proud to call myself a Mercyhurst grad! I had an incredible experience after transferring to Mercyhurst from Gannon. The Mercyhurst community is like a family and am honored to be a part of it. HURST is always home!
We loved our tour here. The campus is beautiful. The school has a Harry Potter type feel to it.
However, my daughter attended freshman year, It was great. The kids seemed to be "pampered". The dorms were terrific. Then..2nd year started and it was a complete disaster. The pre-veterinarian program seems non existent, and it was promised. Volunteering with children isnt helping a vet student. The dorms are horrible. The noise from neighbors are loud. Students can't sleep or work on studies. The RA's dont do a thing. They have unlimited meal plans but its not. Their employees deny food to students. My child transferred. Luckily we could get out for wasting 4 years
Beautiful classic architecture,, including stained glass and stone. Beautifully maintained flower beds. Cozy private college on a postage stamp, walkable campus. Helpful and friendly staff, especially in mid summer. Great relaxed visit
Beautiful campus with rich history. Wonderful to visit after a recent snowfall.
Love the people, love the rich history and most importantly love the education!
Recent college grad and am very proud to be. Whether you need a shoulder to lean on or someone to provide a bit of guidance, you can find it all on this campus. There are so many staff members on campus who go out of their way to help ensure students have a memorable experience, too many to mention individually. I am however extremely thankful for the ones who had an influence on me.
Shout out to the fantastic res life department, health center and hospitality department.
Like any school it has issues that need to be addressed and fixed such as the lack of parking, some of the apartments and a few other things. The only difference is that Mercyhurst strives to make progress in every area it needs to fix. If I could redo the last four years again I wouldn’t change a thing or go to a different school because this was one of the best experiences of my life! Would 100% recommend.
Beautiful campus that's great for walking around and exploring.
Beautiful campus, friendly people. I don't attend there, but I often take walks there.
Went here for music therapy for two years before transferring online. Music program and faculty are amazing, students for the most part are bound to be lifetime friends, not a party school by any means. Erie is a nice city and the college is close to everything (mall, downtown, the lake, stores). I'm still friends with the people I was friends with here. Dining options are great too!
Attending Mercyhurst University has been an exceedingly wonderful experience. Nothing made me happier than getting my little green acceptance box and T-shirt after my visit-- whoever does the marketing is just brilliant! I truly feel like the faculty and staff all have my best interest at heart in regard to my academic and professional careers. Campus feels like home and it’s so easy to make friends and be involved with everything going on!
